What is The Black Sabbath Bench?

The Black Sabbath Bench is a tribute attraction to celebrate the Birmingham metal band, Black Sabbath. It is located on Broad Street, above the bridge on Canal Street, also named after the band.

Who is Black Sabbath?

Black Sabbath are a heavy metal band from Birmingham, formed in 1968. It’s members are Ozzy Osbourne (lead vocalist), Tony Iommi (guitarist), Geezer Butler (bassist), and Bill Ward (drummer). Well known songs from the band include “Paranoid”, “Iron Man”, “War Pigs” and “Black Sabbath.”

The bench was opened to the public in 2019, and ever since has been a popular spot for locals and tourists!
